GALWAY BAND THE OPACAS began life as a virtual band during the lockdowns. Post-Covid, they are taking to the stage, and presenting live music shows with a real difference.
Chloe and her papa won the dancing competition A DANCER from Whitecrook has won a competition by showing off her best moves with her papa. Chloe McGettigan, a keen student at April’s Street Feet Dance Studios, entered the Full Out competition ran by the dance school in the parent and child category. After hearing about the exciting opportunity, Chloe’s papa Paul McGettigan signed himself up as her partner. Her proud mum Stephanie said: “Any parent or anybody related to the student could get involved. “I originally was happy to do it, but after my dad heard about it, he was keen to help out, and I definitely couldn’t stop him.
