The fire at Ardoyne Avenue was reported to emergency services in the early hours of Sunday morning, and firefighters arrived to tackle the blaze in what was described by NI Fire and Rescue Service Group Commander David Nichol as challenging conditions. He said four pumping appliances were brought to the scene just before 3am to help extinguish the flames, and confirmed they are treating the fire as having being started deliberately .
