The Rochester School Board on May 18 approved the first pay raise for board members in more than three decades. With the raise, board members will receive $16,000 a year. Starting in January, the board chair will receive an additional 10%.

Kim Norton: It’s about time! As I recall it was set in 1985 or so and never raised since. With the cut to health insurance over the years, they were actually getting less than when I served in 1998-2006!!.
