Herman here to discuss his new Naval Institute book, lucky few, the fall of saigon and the rescue mission of the uss kirk. Mr. Herman served as historian of the Navy Medicine department and special assistance to the Surgeon General for 33 years. Hes keeping busy in retirements as evidenced by this book. He has written numerous articles and books, including battle station sick bay, medicine and the korean war, and navy history in vietnam.
