If I sue Edward J. Vining ( Supreme Court wrong to dismiss Texas lawsuit, Dec. 20) for parking his car in his driveway, should my case against him be dismissed? That is exactly what the Texas attorney general’s lawsuit was: an attempt to sue four independent states for their voting rules.
These states had every right to set their own voting rules just as Vining has the legal right to park in his driveway; it is none of Texas’ business just as it is none of my business where Vining parks his car. There is no justiciable issue and no damage to Texas.
