Writer Paul Cleave s a sucker for crime and horror

What’s a good piece of good advice you ve received about writing? Have a reserve liver. I remember being at a huge festival in the UK where the statistic was crime writers spend more at the bar in one hour at this venue than wedding parties do over the day. I’ve been to a lot of festivals now, and never seen any evidence to suggest that isn’t true. Any advice for writers starting out? Read good books to inspire you, and bad books to show you that you can do better. What do you read for enjoyment? I mostly read crime and horror – always have – and I don’t see that changing. I’m still a sucker for vampires, werewolves, zombies etc. Every now and then I’ll throw some classic piece of literature in there.
