(AP) A Massachusetts newspaper company is selling its three Vermont newspapers and a magazine, the company announced Tuesday. The Pittsfield, Massachusetts-based New England Newspapers Inc., announced i t was selling the Brattleboro Reformer, the Bennington Banner, the Manchester Journal and UpCountry Magazine to Vermont News and Media, which was formed by Paul Belogour, of Brattleboro. “Paul Belogour is an impressive software entrepreneur, and over the past several years Paul has also made major investments in the Brattleboro/Guilford area, said Hans Morris, the chairman of New England Newspapers.

Vermont Innovation Box opened at the end of January at 70 Landmark Hill Drive. Chris Willett, operations curator at Vermont Innovation Box, estimated renovations took about a year to complete. The property — once known as the Smyth Mansion, which has housed over the years a nightclub, a community college, a dentist office and a gym — now includes a few anchor tenants, but the focus will mostly be on startups and entrepreneurs who need space to work or want to collaborate.
