At a time when they will be in big demand, some of philadelphias taxi and limo drivers planning to boycott the Republican National convention this july because of Services Like uber, x and lyft. Nbc 10 joins us live with more on the message they hope to send. Reporter a Group Representing some of these taxi and limo drivers say theyre tired of getting the runaround and hoping Democratic Leaders take notice when they refuse to open drivers in the three days of the convention or longer if necessary. Limo drivers play cricket to pass the time. The cars are idle near the airport with nowhere to go. Drivers are not making money. Im working about 90 to 100 hours a week. Reporter they say its because of thousands of thousdr that operate in the city but its technically illegal. Thats why the drivers previously protested snarling traffic for hours around city hall.
