MIDLOTHIAN, Va. By now you may know about the Chesterfield street surprise heard round the world.
On December 15, hundreds of neighbors in Hallsley showered UPS driver Anthony Gaskin with lots of love.
âHe is warm and almost an ambassador for the neighborhood,â Patty Friedman said. âWe as a neighborhood came together.â
Like clockwork, Anthony and his signature truck showed up in the neighborhood off Old Hundred Road.
âI try to keep it consistent, so they know what time Iâm coming,â Gaskin said.
On Wednesday night, Richmond-area UPS driver Anthony Gaskin, 53, appeared on President Joe Biden’s inauguration ceremony amidst a sea of celebrities and introduced Jon Bon Jovi.

The year 2021 got off to a good start for the workers at Miami Squeeze. On New Year s Day, a regular customer came into the North Miami Beach juice bar and health food restaurant and placed a $71.84 breakfast order. The Miami Herald this is the biggest tip we ve ever gotten by far. This blows out anything we ve ever gotten. The generous customer requested that the tip be split among everyone who works at Miami Squeeze, which resulted in each employee receiving almost $100. It was a really special moment, Amar said.

The Hallsley neighborhood in Midlothian, Va., has a UPS driver that they consider to be their hero.
According to a report by CBS 6 News, Anthony Gaskin has been making deliveries there throughout the coronavirus pandemic, and neighbors agree that his daily deliveries “have been life-saving, both literally and figuratively.”

Anthony Gaskins was moved to tears when members of a community in Chesterfield County banded together to thank him for his reported record number of daily deliveries – over 180 – during the coronavirus crisis. I wanted to thank him personally for how much he helped me feel welcome when I moved in during a pandemic. It was terribly lonely and he was always the highlight of my day. Mentioning this to a few people and the response I got was all I needed to know I was not alone, Hallsley neighbor Patty Friedman wrote in an email, FOX 13 shared.
