Book Review: We Move Together A review of a book for younger readers on the topic of disability. Kelly Fritsch (author); Anne McGuire (author); Eduardo Trejos (illustrator) Publisher: AK Press ISBN-13: 9781849354042 A month ago Dr. Suess Enterprises took the decision to stop publishing six books. These include a number you may not be familiar with such as “If I Ran the Zoo” and “And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberry Street”. The reason for the decision was that these contain racist and insensitive imagery. These efforts should be encouraged. Likewise newly written and published works by others that try to raise awareness of important social issues among a young readership.

These organizations also forced Black History Month to open its doors to Black disabled history from many Black disabled/Deaf artists and activists. From the streets to social networks, Black disabled people have changed the framework in art, music, activism, school curriculum etc., with Harriet Tubman Collective, Donna R. Walton s Divas with Disabilities, Black Disabled Creatives by Jillian Mercado, and many more. Through social media, Krip-Hop Nation has many chapters around the world and has traveled to the U.K., South Africa, and Toronto. Disabled people have used and worked o
