It used to be you could hear the music on the AM radio.
Not for much longer, at least in Prince George. By the end of the year, both of the city’s AM radio stations will have gone the way of the dinosaur, replaced by the clearer sound and higher quality of the FM signal.
The first out of the door on the FM move is Prince George’s CKPG, owned by the Pattison Group. That station started 60 years ago, with AM radio its mainstay. Now, with the changes in technology, the company is going totally FM, all the time.
