The public accounting began soon after the first images of the U.S. Capitol siege started to unfurl on social media.
Activist groups and journalists long familiar with the extremist communities in their hometowns quickly began to put names to unmasked faces in the pro-Trump mob.
Their efforts have expanded into a massive online crowdsourcing campaign that has helped identify numerous attendees of the “Stop the Steal” rally, with a focus on those who later marched to the Capitol and either witnessed the breach or participated in it more directly.
In San Diego, much of that work has been displayed on a handful of anonymous anti-fascist Twitter accounts, which have become unofficial clearinghouses for exposing locals in attendance.
PACIFIC BEACH (KUSI) – Three people were arrested on Saturday after members of ANTIFA and BLM arrived at the scheduled, pro-Trump “Patriot March” at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Hornblend Street in Pacific Beach, California.
The “Patriot March” was scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday. However, before the march could begin, the group of ANTIFA and BLM members confronted the Trump supporters.
The members of ANTIFA were then met by police in full riot gear, which is when things began turning violent.
Police say members of ANTIFA were dressed in all black and threw rocks, glass bottles, and eggs at the officers.

Demonstrators used pepper spray against each other and threw objects at cops
The march came three days after the violence at the Capitol, although it was scheduled for Saturday before Wednesday s events in Washington D.C.
