Five new businesses are coming to the Jackson Crossing Mall.
The former Sears will be converted into five new storefronts, said Patrick Vassar Director of Underwriting for Ignite Funding. Ignite Funding is based in Las Vegas and has developments in 28 states, Vassar said. They chose Jackson because there was a lot of potential for the site.

The city’s Neighborhood and Economic Operations Department approved the development agreement last week, Jackson Public Information Officer Aaron Dimick said in response to an inquiry from MLIve/Jackson Citizen-Patriot late Wednesday.
“The city is looking forward to seeing this property redeveloped and working with the developer,” Dimick said.
Interior construction can start immediately at the new Hobby Lobby at Jackson Crossing. Jackson issued a permit for the interior construction for the old Sears site about a week ago, according to Dimick.
