Garland’s Spring Creek Forest Preserve has been turned into an art exhibit, with handmade crafts placed along a trail in the forest.
The project, which is called “Collections from the Field,” was launched on Dec. 19 and will continue through Sunday. The project asks participants to trade in their own crafts for someone else’s items placed along the trail.

4 teens who tried to rob AT&T store in Garland were locked out by employees, police say
The four face charges of aggravated robbery following a police chase that ended in Dallas.

Police took four teenagers into custody.
Samidre Washington, 18, Jatyrine Stewart, 17, and two 16-year-olds each face one count of aggravated robbery. Stewart, who police say acted as the getaway driver, was faces a charge of evading arrest.
The juveniles’ names were not released because of their age.
The suspects were arrested about 2 p.m. following a car chase after the attempted robbery of the store in the 6200 block of Broadway Boulevard Boulevard, police said.
