The conventional neighbourhood has been recognized for low-density houses, whereas the integrated community has been recognized with mixed-density homes.
The Lakeview Redistricting application proposes to redistrict agricultural lands in Lakeview for its development as a residential neighbourhood. Both land use districts include recreation–active and passive, and public utility as permitted uses, which allows parks and open spaces to be developed within the area as well.
The review period of the bylaw was held between the months of April and May. No concerns were raised during this period.
Patrick Shaver, the developer of the Lakeview Redistricting application, said, “we intend to take our expertise, our willingness to develop, and what we hope for is our cooperation and relationship with the city of Beaumont.”
