A man fell off a cliff and despite a heroic effort, he was pronounced dead. Sergio cantanna has our story. Reporter this was a swift and sizable effort to save a life. But its a rescue that didnt end well. We retrieved the victim from the water, and he was transported by the coast guard to marin, a base for the coast guard. Unfortunately, the adult male is deceased. Reporter at ft. Baker, the body was driven away in a black van and officers with the National Park place and ranger service, inspected evidence. They have not released any information how the man fell off the cliff or who he is. San francisco firefighters say the area where he fell in was not easy to get to.
