When I did my inspections of yearlings in the Hunter Valley in late 2019 I was taken by the progeny of Shalaa (Ire) I inspected. Unfortunately, I kept getting beaten in the sale ring and was unable to secure the ones I liked. My assessment of his potential to be successful here has been proven correct with him currently filling 2nd place on the Australian 2YO Premiership. This is an impressive effort for a First Season Sire.
It is only early days for Shalaa, but he already has sired two stakes winners and five other stakes placed horses amongst his 25 winners. I expect his progeny will get better with age. He is a very promising sire. Here are some comments on him by Frankie Dettori and John Gosden.

This case helps the students practice, develop, and improve their technical and interpersonal skill sets. It is probably the single most impactful assignment that happens in any of my classes. Dr. Luke Dean, Utah Valley University

I was thrilled to secure this athletic filly by one of Australia’s best sires Sebring out of the very well related mare Leny’s Here, a daughter of the outstanding race mare Devil Moon.
She was bred by David Kobritz at his boutique stud farm Musk Creek. David has been associated with some of Australia’s best gallopers in Subzero, Danzero and Pierro.
It is hard to fault Sebring as a sire. His statistics are superb with 628 individual winners and 127 stakes horses. Only the very best sires have better than 10% stakes winners to winners which Sebring does. He can get an outstanding filly with three of his six Group 1 winners Egg Tart, Nettoyer and Amphritite reaching the elite level.

I m pleased to offer this cracking type of colt by the very good young son of Commands in Epaulette. This colt is out of Honolulu Lass, a well bred mare by Hinchinbrook from the Group 2 winner Velasco.
I loved this colt from the moment I first saw him as a foal at Yarraman Park in the Hunter Valley. He has always had presence and this was evident at this year s Magic Million s Gold Coast Sale where was the 12th last horse to go through the ring. I m certain this cost the breeders as he would have been more expensive earlier in the sale.
