DeKalb With snow finally falling, people are shopping for sleds and looking for the best place to use them in DeKalb. A sled hill is at Hopkins Park, 1403 Sycamore Rd.
The sled hill is open during normal park district hours of operation Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 30 minutes before sunrise and 30 minutes after sunset, according to the DeKalb Park District’s website.
Residents and non-residents of all ages are allowed to use the hill, but a parent or guardian must keep an eye on their children, according to the website.
Phase four COVID-19 restrictions are still in place, so no more than 25 people can be at the sled hill at one time, and face masks must be worn when social distancing cannot be practiced, according to the website.
