Morning. A fedex truck collided with one car. Investigators say that when they arrived paramedics were trying to revive the occupants of the car. Those efforts were unsuccessful and that person died at the scene. A fedex driver is on scene as well and has been cooperating with the investigation. Officers have closed down all four lanes of southbound 880 so that they can thoroughly investigate the accident and clear the accident to make sure the roadway is safe. They are asking for drivers to be patient. We want to assure the victims families and the public get the most out of this as possible. We are asking everyone to be patient and all commuters please be patient logic we conduct the investigation. What people can do is if they are coming to celebrate new years eve in San Francisco they can text the phrase 2888 777. A onetime code so visitors can sign up without the hassle of receiving alerts after new years eve. The messages will be pumped out of the Emergency Operations center filled with representatives from various departments. As the Department Finds Credible Threats we will be sharing that information with our state local and federal partners so we can make our streets as safe as possible during the new years eve the 70s.
