elarms would want to hurt him. he s in protective custody because heck be targeted by inmates who were close to lewis. elamrs is expected to answer to serious charges in court tomorrow. now to a developing story in oakland. one person is dead, a search continues for a man police say is armed and dangerous. the death is as a result of a police shooting and a police chase. at 13th and 33rd avenue, the suspect s car crashed into a home. it started in west oakland on i-580 and moved into parts of east oakland. four people were inside that car. police say they all ran. two officers shot one of the suspects. they say a handgun was found nearby. there was an assault weapon recovered from the vehicle also. and this is very early on and there s still a lot of information that s coming out. police say a special unit was investigating a shooting that happened on friday before this chase began. two other people are being detained tonight. happening right now, after a wild weekend
