The Duke of Edinburgh sadly passed away today at the age of 99. THE Bromsgove community have paid tribute to Prince Phillip who has died aged 99 today. Flags will be flown at half mast across the district and floral tributes can be left on the bandstand in Sanders Park as a mark of respect. Brosmgrove School have their flag at half mast today and have tweeted: The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Bromsgrove are with Her Majesty The Queen and the Royal family following the death of His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. Tree planting under way for new woodland in Bewdley

Tree planting gets under way in Bewdley THE first of 3,000 trees have been planted as part of a new woodland being created in Bewdley. Worcestershire County Council has committed to planting 150,000 trees supplied by The Woodland Trust across the county over the next five years, including a brand new woodland near to Blackstone Picnic Place in Bewdley. Tree planting has now begun at the Bewdley site, with more due to be added in 2021 and further woodland set to be created on county council-owned land in Norton, Evesham. Other sites are being considered to complement the two sites in other areas of the county to reach the committed target within the five years.
