The two men were in front of Economy Meat Market at 1442 Haultain St. as they worked their way through the neighbourhood with a goal of getting a newspaper to every doorstep, whether the occupant was a subscriber or not. It was the Victoria Daily Times, the creation of three local businessmen who were active in politics with the Liberal party.
