Jason Smith, 36, of Detroit, was handed a two-year prison sentence by Ontario Court Justice Ronald Marion after pleading guilty to money laundering and drug importation charges. During a Lake St. Clair boarding by police of a boat occupied by Smith and his father Robbie on July 27, the RCMP’s marine unit seized two pounds of cannabis and a heavy bag of cash.
