Storm Lake, IA (KICD) Two Storm Lake police officers were assaulted by a subject early Monday morning.
Assistant Police Chief Patrick Diekman says one officer was hit in the face and another was bitten on the leg. Injuries were described as “minor” but one officer was treated at the hospital.
43 year old Javier Duarte has been charged with two counts of assault on a law enforcement officer; and interference with official acts causing bodily injury.
Authorities were called to 751 Walnut Street on the report of an adult male threatening to harm himself.
