MANILA, Philippines: The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has not monitored any single weather disturbance entering the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) until over the weekend, an official from the state-run weather bureau said. Weather specialist Patrick del Mundo said it is the easterlies winds coming from the east that pass through the Pacific Ocean and bring warm and humid weather that are affecting Palawan, Visayas and Mindanao.

Cloudy skies, scattered rains expected on All Saints Day

THE state-run weather agency on Tuesday advised the public to bring umbrellas as overcast skies and heavy rains are likely on Wednesday, All Saints Day, or Undas. Weather specialist Patrick del Mundo of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the northeast monsoon ( amihan ) and shear line are affecting most parts of the country over the next few days. In particular, amihan will bring isolated light rains over Central and Northern Luzon that include Batanes, Cagayan and Isabela.
