how much precipitation can we expect? and what n what form? in what form? bob turk and meteorologist tim williams. those have been the questions all week long. it s been a very, very difficult forecast. not a very well-defined system. and we ve had a lot of sunshine. it s beginning to move out. this is all in the form of light rain so i think in the evening, maybe after 9:00, we ll see rain. but we ll also see some sleet mixing in in some areas. tim has a look at the factors involved with this system. and perhaps, what we can generally expect. tim? a winter weather advisory in effect for parts of the state. we re looking for the potential for rain, sleet, and snow. when the temperatures drop and get to their coldest, and this moisture starts to move in, that s when we ll start to see the problems as bob mentioned. after 9:00, we re saying about midnight to maybe the rush hour ahead. but the fact that we re talking about high pressure is stopping this thing from moving a
hi, everybody. i m kai jackson. and i m mary but bal a. here s what people are talking about mary bubala. here s what people are talking about. this storm system continues to move rain with east with lots of rain. this is the scene in okaloosa county, florida. you can see, some motorists taking a risk driving through. all clear here. but in the next 12 hours, that will likely change. meteorologist tim williams and bob turk are updating live doppler radar for us. we ll start with bob. it s been a sunny, dry day here. a lot of rain moved in. starting to see clouds moved into the southern portion of the region. you can see down here, in virginia, some precip beginning to show up. later tonight, all that is beginning to move to our region. we expect it to get here probably late, late tonight. with temperature in the low to mid-30s. we do expect to see some 96 mix some mixed precipitation late tonight. tim has a look at the advisories. and what we expect primarily later
