Constitutional officers in Manassas are getting a pay raise

The Manassas City Council moved to increase the pay of two of the city’s constitutional officers the City Treasurer and the Commissioner of the Revenue.
Both offices are up for reelection this November.
According to the information from the city, the current salaries for the offices of Treasurer and the Commissioner of the Revenue are $118,830 and $131,918, respectively. Should the current office-holders retain their positions after the election on November 2, their salaries will not be affected by the new terms and conditions.

Manassas will have races for two constitutional officers in November.
The Manassas and Manassas Park Cities Democratic Committee (MMPCDC) have put forward candidates for two constitutional offices for this election year.
The committee announced their candidates via a press release which also announced the cancelation of the caucus, which would have been used to officially announce the candidates:

Leaders from Prince William and Manassas endorsed Terry McAuliffe for governor on Thursday.
The endorsements for McAuliffe, who served as governor from 2014-2018, include Prince William County School Board Chairman Babur B. Lateef, former Prince William County Supervisor Frank Principi, Occoquan Mayor Earnest “Earnie” Porta Jr., Manassas City Mayor Michelle Davis-Younger, Manassas City Vice Mayor Pamela Sebesky, Manassas City Treasurer Patricia Richie-Folks, and Manassas City Councilors Mark Wolfe, David Farajollahi and Ralph Smith.
