Ross Middle School physical education teacher Patricia Amezaga, whose diabetic husband is also a teacher, said she has been worried about him contracting COVID-19. There s so many teachers who are afraid to be at school, Amezaga said. I think it would have put a lot more teachers at ease, and maybe some of the teachers who have retired or quit wouldn t have done that if they had a little peace of mind, she said. I think we should have been in the first group, just like doctors, hospital staff and nurses.
