"My grandson fell ill during the night and in the morning he was dead. He was a year and a few months old and could just about walk," said Amena Djaha.
Residents of the Ivorian village of Kpo-Kahankro are in shock. Since December, over 15 mysterious deaths have plunged the community into despair. Some are blaming witchcraft and accusing a prominent villager.
Clostridium, a bacterium was found both on the so-called object of witchcraft.
