Uniqlo s parent company commits Rs 22 cr towards COVID-19 relief efforts in India

Uniqlo opened its first store in India in October 2019 in Delhi, and now operates six stores in the country.
Fast Retailing Co Ltd, the parent company of Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo on Tuesday said it will provide support worth Rs 22 crore (around USD 3 million) towards COVID-19 relief efforts in India. Fast Retailing will donate Rs 10 crore to two NGOs - GiveIndia and the Akshaya Patra Foundation.

Interim Report Submitted Regarding Irregularities In Functioning Of Akshaya Patra Foundation

An interim report concerning allegations made by former trustees of the Akshaya Patra Foundation has been submitted by a committee led by ex-Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) of India KV Chowdhury,
Hindustan Timesreports.
Now, further details have been asked on this issue from statuary auditors EY and KPMG for the time being. The Akshaya Patra foundation is a non-profit organization operating a school lunch program in the country.
Last November, a panel comprising of two members was created to probe the irregularities in the organizationâs functioning.
