Noir Creators Space Open Market is a new vendor market highlighting historic Pflugerville s Colored Addition featuring local black business owners and creatives. The launch of this new market will be held Sunday, April 25 from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. at St. Mary s Baptist Church located at 1202 Russell St., Pflugerville, TX 78660. Westchester County, NY Five Sound Shore towns in Westchester are joining together to read a single book this month. A virtual discussion of the book will include library cardholders from New Rochelle, Larchmont, Mamaroneck, Harrison and Rye during five book-club-style events. This month, the multi-town book club will explore Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents. The city is seeking to make them permanent. UPPER EAST SIDE, NY The city s wish to permanently install two crosstown bike lanes on the Upper East Side left a community board panel divided this week for the second time, further delaying a decision and frustrating transit advocates. Staffers from the Department of Transportation joined Community Board 8 s transportation committee on Wednesday to discuss the proposed lanes along East 61st and 62nd streets, where temporary lanes have already been in place since September.
