The Acadiana Advocate is reporting that Pat Magee has submitted his resignation.
Magee is a top aide to Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry and earlier today a second person came forward with sexual harassment complaints, alleging that Magee assigned women in his office to handle cases he deemed good for women. The complainant also said she and other women styled themselves to avoid unwelcome attention from Magee.
This new development comes after a separate four-page complaint was published on Monday after a judge ordered its release. There was somewhat a magnifying glass on the issue being that it went to court after Attorney General Jeff Landry sued Advocate reporter Andrea Gallo in early February, two months after she filed a public records request to obtain the November sexual harassment complaint against Magee.
Pat Magee, the high-ranking member of the Louisiana Attorney General’s Office accused of sexual harassment, has resigned, The Advocate newspaper reports.
