It might feel like 100 degrees outside tomorrow. Lets get right over to meteorologist justin extra bic for the very latest on this heat wave. Justin. Natasha, were already start starting to get that heat delaware val toll night it did feel some showers and storms a line of stronger storms through the poconos but now those showers and breaking up so looking much better as far as the thunderstorm activity maybe a few showers in the Lehigh Valley over the next hour. Thats about it. Everybody else just dealing with partly cloudy skies now the story is that heat and humidity which is on the rise. Look at that. Current air temperatures upper 70s low 80s out
Nice breeze coming in off the Atlantic Ocean coastal temperatures are in the low to mid 70s. This hour but here we go. Tomorrow starting at noontime an excessive heat warning will go in effect for philadelphia and surrounding suburbs in delaware, pennsylvania and new jersey. We can be dealing with heat index values up around 103 degrees for sunday afternoon and outside the heat warning we will be under a heat advisory for the Lehigh Valley and the far northwest suburbs new jersey and South Central locations. Heat indices i was rod round 100 degrees. Actual air temperatures in the mid 90s but it will feel like over 100 degrees when you factor in the humidity. Drink plenty of water over the next couple of days and try to avoid strenuous activities the weekend sunday hang out stay cool airconditioning if you can. Look at these temperatures. Already by noontime were talking about 90 degrees for lunch time and then mid 90s for the high temperatures by 3 00 oclock and still well into the 90s

Todays temperatures were high but fortunately the humidity was not. Meteorologist Justin Drabick is in our Weather Center with a first look at the forecast. That was at least some good news justin. Exactly. Lack of humidity makes a huge difference. It was bearable to be outside. This is day number five as you go all the way back to tuesday where we hit the low 90s. A of Research High 87. Again were well above that. Yesterday and today coming in at 90 degrees probably the same deal tomorrow. Its going to be close but i think we have a good shot at reaching 90. 70s, low 70s in some of the suburbs so its really not that bad once you get out of the city. 83 degrees at Philadelphia International airport. Beaches. Ocean city still checking in at 80 this hour. Stone harbor 77. Rehoboth beach 76. Some rain is impacting the delaware beach right now. Ill show that you on storm scan3. But the wind direction notice the arrows pointing off to the east. That means a west to northwest wind. Thats a drier and cooler wind so the dewpoint temperatures are still somewhere on the low side. 50s and still some 60s indicating a much drier air mass than what we were dealing with the past several days earlier this week. There are the thunderstorms in Sussex County delaware moving along the delaware beaches right now Rehoboth Dewey beach seeing heavy rainfall right now. They just issued a flood advisory. Sunday morning here are your temperatures around 70 for philadelphia, then surrounding suburbs going to be in the 60s even low 60s in allentown and berks county so not a bad start to your sunday.
