Brad Severson, project manager in the transportation division of the Appleton office, recently earned his certification as a Level 3 Qualified Roundabout Designer from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT). This is the highest level of roundabout certification from WisDOT, authorizing him to design single-, double-, and triple-lane roundabouts, as well as multiple roundabouts in series. Brad has been designing roundabouts with raSmith since 2004.
Brad has designed more than 150 roundabouts throughout Wisconsin including expandable roundabouts at the I-39/WIS 59 Interchange in Rock County; WIS 145 interchanges with US 41 and 45 and the entrance to Cabela’s retail development (five roundabouts) in Washin
