CHESAPEAKE, Va - As some may be hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccine, a new partnership between FEMA and local churches is encouraging more people to get vaccinated. One clinic is reaching people who might be nervous about getting the vaccine. The partnership with the local Black churches is one of the most important things that have happened in this community. One of the reasons why is familiarity. We still have a lot of barriers and hesitancy in the Black and brown communities, Mary Bibbs said, a vaccine organizer.
