Motorcycle actually cut through and got on the highway headed in the wrong direction, and then crashed headon into a van. The driver was seriously injured and is being treated at wake med. The driver of the honda was not hurt. This started after 2 00. The Highway Patrol says one of the troopers cited the motorcyclist going 75 in a 45 mile per hour zone. The trooper put on their lights, did a uturn, tried to pull the men over, but thats when they say eventually for a one before that head on collision. This motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed and putting his life as well as reporter we are told the Highway Patrol trooper did not follow that motorcycle once they got on the highway headed in the wrong direction. Not only is that putting the trooper and more lives at risk, but it is not their policy. We are working to learn the names of the drivers involved. Troopers tell us charges are pending.
