A GROUP representing past pupils of a Limerick school has bought a portrait of one of the county’s most well known faces, with the proceeds of the purchas.
The heroes of yesteryear have returned to St Peter’s College to usher in what the school hope will be another era of sporting excellence. After almost four years of fundraising St Peter’s new astroturf pitch was officially unveiled in a ceremony which saw the 1973 Colleges All-Ireland winning hurling team, including one of the coaches, make a special appearance at the school.
