ZimSculpt, a world-renowned collection of modern Zimbabwean sculpture, is now on view at Dallas’ botanical garden through August 8. “This exhibit is one way that the Arboretum is helping all of us in this city reintroduce ourselves into society while also bringing that world that been impossible to physically reach through travel closer to us in Dallas,” Eric Johnson, Dallas’ mayor, said at the opening of the exhibition.

The Dallas Arboretum Presents the Return of ZimSculpt EVENT DETAILS The Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden presents the return of the international blockbuster exhibit ZimSculpt, a world-renowned collection of hand-selected, modern Zimbabwean stone sculptures. As the signature event of Summer at the Arboretum, ZimSculpt runs from May 1 to Aug. 8. To celebrate the opening day of ZimSculpt, the Dallas Arboretum hosts the first ever Black Heritage Celebration from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day is filled with events surrounding ZimSculpt, cooking demonstrations and Black-owned businesses showcasing and selling their crafts. At 1 p.m. in the Jonsson Color Garden, visitors are invited to watch the Black Crown fashion show highlighting local Black designers. From 2 to 4 p.m., the Don Diego Band performs jazz and R&B.
