A Clifton man was caught trafficking child porn, Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik said Sunday.
Detectives from the sheriff s Internet Crime Against Children Task Force arrested James K. Delillo Jr., 30, after finding images of child sexual abuse sent via an alias email account, Berdnik said.
They also seized electronic devices at his Greglawn Drive home that were being analyzed for additional evidence, the sheriff said.
Delillo was sent to the Passaic County Jail to await a first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Paterson on charges of possession, maintaining and distributing child pornography.
Berdnik thanked Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia Valdes s office for its assistance.

Authorities were trying to determine whether there were other victims of a Passaic County man who’s been jailed since last summer for having an underage boy send him sex videos and photos.
Detectives from Passaic County Sheriff Richard Berdnik’s Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force were already familiar with Tekanand V. Singh, 29, of West Milford, who s remained jailed since they first arrested him last July.
They recently learned from police in Boerne, Texas that another minor “met Singh on the internet and utilized a messaging application to communicate with him,” Berdnik said.
During their chats, Singh “directed the victim to send him sexually explicit images and videos,” the sheriff said. “He further requested the victim engage in sexual acts [that] he instructed should be recorded and sent to him.”
When COVID-19 swept into North Jersey 10 months ago, it struck the Hawthorne Police Department particularly hard.
Almost a third of the squad s 34 officers fell ill almost at once, sending then-Chief Richard McAuliffe into a mad scramble to stagger schedules, change shifts and keep his officers away from each other.
That was the worst of it current Chief James Knepper said only a few officers have caught the virus since. But the spring disaster made an imprint. And now that the vaccine is available to law enforcement, he’s encouraging his officers to get it as soon as they can.
But he won t order them.
