It was shades of Adam Sandler's famous "Lunch Lady Land" song, as 160 school nutrition workers gathered for their regional meeting inside Pasquotank County High School Saturday.
The Pasquotank County Sheriff's Office arrested an Elizabeth City man after deputies found 10,000 units of fentanyl in the man's vehicle during a traffic stop.
The sheriff's office says the student refused to leave campus and began actively resisting the school resource officers who responded. The student then reportedly approached one of the SROs, lunging toward his duty belt.
News 3 reached out to ECPPS to inquire if any other schools would be affected, and school officials told us Thursday they would continue to monitor absences throughout the district.
