October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Penn State and community partners are working throughout the month to raise awareness around this important issue and to provide opportunities for the Penn State community to engage in prevention efforts and show support for survivors.
Penn State Hillel celebrated the grand opening of its permanent home on Sept. 9 in a new building in downtown State College. The Bernard and Nancy Gutterman Family Center for Jewish Life will help serve the approximately 5,000 students at the University.

Located in The Maxxen, the center features a chapel, outdoor terrace, study space, and more. The event will feature a tour of the building, as well as remarks from university President Neeli Bendapudi and State College Mayor Ezra Nanes.
