DADE CITY, Fla. â Pasco County is holding an in-person East Side Job Fair on Tuesday, May 4 to fill dozens of openings.
The job fair is being held at the UF/IFAS Extension Office, located at 36702 State Road 52 in Dade City. The office is immediately southwest of Pasco High School.
The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Hiring managers from Pasco County s Human Resources Department will conducting on-the-spot interviews.
Pasco high schools set rules for in-person graduations
Each school will host its own commencement, with dates set for late May and early June.

Pasco County high school seniors will get the in-person graduation ceremonies they and their parents have been clamoring for.
The events wonât take place at the University of South Floridaâs Yuengling Center, though.
After learning the arena wonât be available in June, district officials worked out new arrangements to have each school hold its commencement at its campus stadium. Three smaller schools will hold indoor activities.

Dade City assistant principal arrested on DUI, drug possession charges

LAKELAND, Fla. - A Dade City assistant principal was arrested in Polk County on multiple drug possession charges and for DUI, the sheriff s office said Monday.
Deputies said they arrested 49-year-old Ralph Stewart, who is the assistant Principal at Pasco High School. On Sunday, Polk County deputies said they responded to a crash near Kathleen Road and Galloway Road around 9:37 p.m.
They said neither driver was hurt, but they noticed Stewart appeared impaired and had bloodshot, watery eyes. According to the arrest affidavit, Stewart “appeared to have difficulty maintaining his balance and swayed side to side as he was walking.”

Coronavirus case totals in area schools continued to increase this week, with even Hernando County, the areaâs smallest district, reporting more than a dozen in a single day.
Before the year is out, the total in some of Hillsborough Countyâs largest high schools could approach 100 cases. To date, the totals are: 80 cases at Plant, 73 at Steinbrenner, and 70 at Newsome.
