Goverment and last updated 2021-05-03 11:15:08-04 DADE CITY, Fla. — Pasco County is holding an in-person East Side Job Fair on Tuesday, May 4 to fill dozens of openings. The job fair is being held at the UF/IFAS Extension Office, located at 36702 State Road 52 in Dade City. The office is immediately southwest of Pasco High School. The event will run from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Hiring managers from Pasco County s Human Resources Department will conducting on-the-spot interviews.

This year s ceremonies will be in-person. The events won’t take place at the University of South Florida’s Yuengling Center, though. After learning the arena won’t be available in June, district officials worked out new arrangements to have each school hold its commencement at its campus stadium. Three smaller schools will hold indoor activities.

Deputies said they arrested 49-year-old Ralph Stewart, who is the assistant Principal at Pasco High School. On Sunday, Polk County deputies said they responded to a crash near Kathleen Road and Galloway Road around 9:37 p.m. They said neither driver was hurt, but they noticed Stewart appeared impaired and had bloodshot, watery eyes. According to the arrest affidavit, Stewart “appeared to have difficulty maintaining his balance and swayed side to side as he was walking.”

Before the year is out, the total in some of Hillsborough County’s largest high schools could approach 100 cases. To date, the totals are: 80 cases at Plant, 73 at Steinbrenner, and 70 at Newsome.
