Pasay City Hall (File photo) MANILA - The Pasay City government on Monday declared a major victory in its fight against coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), with zero active cases. "No new Covid-19 case has been detected in Pasay City over the past four days, a major feat considering that it was once a hotspot for rising virus cases," Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano told reporters in a Viber message. The Pasay City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESU) said all Covid-19 patients admitted in all of its isolation facilities and in Pasay City General Hospital have already recovered from the disease. Rubiano attributed the significant drop in the number of cases to the government's massive vaccination efforts.
