SRINAGAR: In a bid to prevent the deadly virus from spreading, the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) has fined 188 norm violators within Municipality limits in two days and realized a fine of over Rs 37000 from them.
Pertinently, SMC decided to fine Rs 200 from all those who are found without face masks within its limits from January 1st.
As per the figure available with the news agency KNO, SMC has realized Rs 37,600 as fine from the norm violators in two days (Friday and Saturday).
Deputy Mayor SMC, Parvaiz Qadri said that one the first day of the campaign, at least 75 persons were fined for violating the norms in 35 wards of the corporations.
