She earned her phd from the university of california at berkeley, and shes now an associate professor of history at Denisson University in granville, ohio. Shes taught there since 2007. This is her first book, to march for others, the black freedom struggle and the United Farm Workers and it was published just last year by the university of pennsylvania press.
