Days before Sir David Amess (pictured) was killed, the father of murder suspect Ali Harbi Ali publicly criticised Qatar, the Gulf kingdom championed by the MP.

Friends of Ali Harbi Ali, 25, who is being held by police on suspicion of murdering the veteran Conservative MP, claimed he was radicalised watching YouTube videos of Anjem Choudary.
Police searched the home in a quiet street in Croydon, south London, on Friday. A neighbour today told MailOnline how Ali grew up in the terrace property before leaving in his late teens.
Anjem Choudary said 69-year-old Sir David Amess could also have been killed for being a member of the Tory Party. He made the callous comments a day after the MP for Southend West was killed.
