i think carly did a phenomenal job at the early debate but part of this process is not to pick winners and losers. what we ve done is allowed with cnn and fox is ensure that we have the most inclusive first two debates of any party going forward. what happened last night is exactly what was intended. somebody can do really well someone could do not as well. they can move up they can move down. but it gives everyone that opportunity to have their voice heard and either gain or lose depending on whether or not the voters and the supporters that message resonates with them. if donald trump and i have to circle back to donald trump here sean if he does what he needs to do to get the delegates he needs, will the party will party loyalists wholeheartedly back him up if he s the nominee? of course. i think look there were 17 candidates on stage last night. any one of them who becomes our nominee has the full support of
saying he had a very good night as he made the case that his background makes him well suited to take on hillary clinton. watch how he pointed out she ll have a very hard time playing the usual class warfare games against him. if i m our nominee, how is hillary clinton going to lecture me about living acheck to paycheck? i was raised paycheck to paycheck. how is she going to lecture me about student loans? i owed over $100,000 just four years ago. if i m our nominee we will be the party of the future. i thought rubio did very well last night, and that answer was one example of how well he did. he had several great answers. i think marco rubio really raised his stock call it stock value, maybe more than anyone else on stage. john kasich also had a nice night. and, again you don t know where i come from, i ll show you what dead broke was really like, and then he had a zinger. look at us on the g work p side
state. a lot of cities are sanctuary cities. as you noted, a driver s license bill was finally advanced. we ve been aggressive on our own version of the dream act here in california. same thing on gun safety and women s rights and advancing the rights of transgenders and raising our minimum wage. we re trying to do our best to lead by example and prove that progressives can govern and they don t have to be the borrow and spend party, but we can be the party of the future. your honor, lieutenant governor, it is about nine degrees here on the east coast. i didn t need that much more incentive to want to be in california, but you gave me
going to put them in a horrific position moving forward if they stand in the way of these common-sense reforms. well, and again, if joe biden can build a coalition that includes not just moderate democrats and liberal democrats but more centrist democrats as well as business leaders can be parts of this, law enforcement for sure, and to get some republicans on board, if you look at the right-wing echo chamber now in media, internet, talk radio, you know, it s all about the normal partisanship and the normal-looking pick little holes in the arguments for some sort of action. if the vice president and the president build a broad coalition, that 90/10 thing will be a reality including in the house of representatives which is where it s going to come down to because i think you could pass a pretty big peculiarage throu package through the senate. the question is what would they do in the house? the question is what did republicans learn? what s my party learned over the past year? ar
