Gotten little behind. And so in may we declared we were going to do this until the end of the year. Our 2014 budget has 50 million in it for overtime. And thats essentially what i was counting on to be able to transition to that. So we do have a plan. We do need that piece of the budget recognized so we can. Sume our overtime option we begin t we as to close out the year, before we knew a shutdown was going occur and how much carry over we were going to have, we thought we were going to be able to carry over 40 million to add to the 50 million in the budget so to give us a good run at the year of additional overtime so the numbers would be up there closer to 100 million, 90 million or so. That 40 million was used to as our operation going for long as possible and as many claims lined up before the end of the month. Thank you for that. We had a hearing about some difficulty with legislative back s acouple of weeks and had difficulty getting an answer like that. So i appreciate that. Tha
About our economic crisis and argue that it can be traced back to the 1970s when our Economic System shifted from benefiting a vast majority of americans to one which mostly benefits only the very rich. This is about an hourandahalf. [applause] good to see you will hear. Lets cut quickly to the chase. What is it and the dna of capitalism that makes this so unstable . Since the beginning of economics as a discipline back in the days of adam smith and David Mccarty who were the first to develop it as a comprehensive way of thinking about things, economist of worry about that. It has never been, except maybe in the last 30 years, the case that a significant portion of the profession, let alone the public imagine that capitalism was anything else. The reality has been from the beginning wherever capitalism has established itself, it has been stunningly unstable. It is all the time facing three to seven years of economic downturn. Give you an example. The last time we had a major collapse o
More effort to figure out how can we list fewer americans on the beaght field. Peace things are coming down the road. On energy, the breakthrough in hydraulic frackerring and horizontal drill, we take a place like north dakota which went from 800 Million Barrels of reserve in 2002 to over 24 billion today. And rising. North dakota has a high employment rate we have gone up 50 in the last eight years. And mcdonalds now pays a bonus if you will sign up to work. That actually should be the conservative answer to income and equality. We would like everybody to rise up. Were not in the business of tearing down. We should be in the business of helping every person rise up. And north dakota is a pretty good case study. If the federal government were actually encouraging it. We would be astonished how many additional jobs you would be creating right now. We are this year the largest gas producer in the world by 2015 well be the Largest Oil Producer in the world. Thats an enormous shift of powe

The students can be five or six year old. I think we want to find a way to make the classroom a happy place for them and room for their percents. Permits and highspiritedness. And i feel like we havent done a good enough job with this. Is there a shortage of male teachers . Does it have an effect if there is . There are few male teachers in elementary school. You have slightly more in high school. But still this may be a slight exaggeration, but once the Current School system said the schools are run by women for girls. Now, again, an overstatement but not by too much. A lot of boys feel that way. They feel one of the saddest comments i ever read. A grouch educators of researchers interview why do you leave school or drop out . And there was one little boy who said i thought nobody wanted me there. There are a lot of boys that feel that way. Its heart breaking. Someone should make it clear they want him there. But theres so much going on at our school even at the lefm what is assigned
