The people who rely on dialysis access to clinics like the one behind me and the quality of care that they receive there is a matter of life and death, so it is so much on the line. You can imagine the passion surrounding a Ballot Initiative that seeks to make major and controversial changes to this industry. You can stroke out, have a heart attack, all kinds of things can happen while you are on the chair. So that is why it is important to have a doctor there. Reporter she has depended on dialysis to keep her alive for the past 12 years. She hopes clinics are often understaffed and the entire industry is in desperate need of reform.
