"There is a lack of connection between what I would call an older music scene and what is currently happening. There s just a major disconnect," local musician Amanda Rey says.
A recent headline simply referred to musician Particle Kid as "Willie Nelson s son," which is kind of confusing when you consider that the mellow patriarch of Outlaw Country has eight kids.
The "Red Headed Stranger" himself will pull into Rogers June 29 along with fellow outlaws Margo Price, Flatland Calvary and Particle Kid (his youngest son). The Willie Nelson and Family Outlaw Music Festival starts at 6 p.m. at the Walmart Arkansas Music Pavilion, and gates open at 5.
"If I m Too Much, Maybe Go Find Less?!" Branjae sings in her latest electric-funk single, "Too Much." The singer-songwriter and actress returns to Northwest Arkansas for a Juneteenth Celebration at 7 p.m. Saturday as part of the North Forest Concert Series at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville.
